On my Sunday travel from my Cuddalore site to Trichy, I decided to take a detour  to visit GKC. The GKC is a magnificient, beautiful temple, towering over 50 feet high with such a majestic beauty despite its over 1000 years of graceful existence. ( can anyone help me in dating it wrt 2017 AD ). We, the descendants of the Chola clan,  welcome the devotees arriving  for the Brihadeeshwara temple consecration festival”

The coronation of our ancestors- the great Chola emperors who ruled south Asia with might, have been traditionally held at  their family deity temple – the Chidambaram Natarajar temple.

In the same ancestral linage & practice, We the Pichavaram Chola Kings, have our coronations conducted  even today. 

On 2.2.17, We welcome the august presence of the devottees for the consecration festival of Brihadeeshwara temple built by Our Chola Clan forefather Rajendra Chola I.
